2024 in Review: RO DBT Training and Dissemination

As 2024 comes to a close, we would like to celebrate our achievements for disseminating RO DBT across the globe, together with our international partners as well as all RO DBT clinicians and researchers who spread the word about RO DBT. Here’s what happened in 2024:  

Dissemination

  • At least 4 new scientific papers on RO DBT were published, including an independent meta-analytic review about RO DBT. For an overview of published papers, click HERE. 
  • Several new translations of the RO DBT textbook and skills manual were published, including Spanish, French, and Polish, with more translations on-going. For an overview of RO DBT in other languages, click HERE.
  • In November we celebrated our 10-year anniversary as RO DBT Training and Dissemination company!

Therapist Training

  • We hosted our first English Live Level 1 training in October and we intend to organize more in 2025.  
  • We organized 3 advanced-level live webinars for clinicians who want to improve their RO DBT skills, including ‘Troubleshooting Diary Cards’ and ‘Unraveling the Enigma Predicament’.
  • We hosted 3 introductory webinars for clinicians who are not yet familiar with RO DBT.
  • We organised 4 in-person level 3 workshops: 2 in the USA, 1 in Australia and 1 in the UK.
  • We hosted 3 live skills classes for clinicians, with more to come in 2025!
  • We hosted monthly free Q & A sessions for anyone enrolled in our courses, now or in the past. To see the dates and register for sessions in 2025, go to the CALENDAR.

Trainer and Supervisor Training

  • The fourth cohort of RO Scholars started their 2-year free training program in February 2024. Click HERE to learn more about this program.  
  • The Radically Open Institute hosted its biennial retreat in the south of France, bringing together 22 members of our senior clinical team along with treatment developer Dr. Lynch. Over the course of four days, we combined fun with hard work, focusing on teaching and refining RO DBT supervisory skills. Read a blog about the Retreat HERE.
  • We hosted 4 online micro-analytic supervision sessions by Proferssor Lynch for our senior RO DBT clinicians to make sure they deliver RO DBT adherently and competently.

We look forward to 2025, with more training and dissemination events and of course our main event of 2025: the RO DBT Conference! We can’t wait to see you next year. Until then, have a restful, relaxed, and socially connected holiday season.
